Being Sick Sucks

So it's been a while since my last post. I've been sick since Semester started - on and off. I lost my voice over the weekend before my birthday and only got it back after it. I got sick again after that when I thought I was getting better. Right now I'm coughing like a coal miner, my sinuses are blocked again and I got prescribed a decongestant that aggravates the cough. At least I'm not behind on my work, I can afford to take today off.

I sold one painting at the Student Art Exhibition at Otago Uni this year which is pretty cool since a lot of people didn't sell anything plus I was mentioned in the student magazine the following week. I got a B+ on my photography project which is pretty cool.

Work is getting better, I think my boss is warming up to me now that I'm not making mistakes like when I first got there. She gets too stressed out when the restaurant gets packed and starts screaming at people unnecessarily.

Oh yeah, I'm 21 now..... Doesn't feel that different and I think it's still sinking in how old I am now. I need to start making life plans and goals but for now I'm happy and content with where I am.

i'm sorry if that seemed creepy lol i just saw that you said you were back in dunedin, and i really want to transfer to otago poly for the second semester. if it's not too much trouble, could you tell me what you think of the school?

oh glad to hear it is not snobby. i went to a really fancy art school here in america, and they were always going on about how awesome they are lol drove me insane.

well, my school was super expensive (after housing i paid almost $19,000 american for one semester) and i can't afford to take out that many loans. I also really wanted to go to a different country, and a friend of mine from new zealand said to check NZ out and the schools are so much cheaper (after international fees it is like half the price)! I liked the courses they have listed for fine art at otago poly.. there are more options than my old college :)
